RuleXpress has been in production since 2005. Our complete release history is shown below:
- This release provides improved support for working with multiple communities and provides a revolutionary
way to share terminology among different communities using the notion of item adoption. One community is the
owner of an item and makes an item available to other communities. Other communities are in the position to
adopt items and use it like owned items but can not change the essence of the adopted item.
A comprehensive property management system to simplify customization of RuleXpress's extensible meta model.
Communiqué – a messaging system that seamlessly integrates vocabulary-related or rule-related announcements.
Numerous reporting enhancements to more precisely meet your needs.
Documentation available from within the system.
- RuleXpress is now available with a Spanish User Interface and Spanish documentation. Also the Spanish
language is supported by the quality rules and the spell checker.
- Those GUI Controls that are used to manage Expressions (like Term Definitions, Rule Statements etc) have
been enhanced with an as-you-type Spelling Checker. This Spelling Checker is “vocabulary aware” which
means that it will allow words that are defined in the RuleXpress Vocabulary but not in the dictionary.
Currently, the Spelling Checker supports English and Dutch. Suggestions will be shown for a word that is
misspelled, taking both the dictionary and the RuleXpress Vocabulary into account. A word can also be
added to the RuleXpress Vocabulary if it’s not present in either the dictionary or the RuleXpress
Vocabulary.
- RuleXpress version 2.2 introduces Decision Tables. Decision Tables are manageable items, similar to Rules
or Rule Groups. The Decision Table Item Kind has mostly the same Properties as the Rule Item Kind. In
addition to the Decision Table Contents, it is good practice to define a “Wrapper Rule” which describes the
Table. The Decision Table Editor has a Usage Tab and a History Tab, just like any other manageable Item in
RuleXpress. Decision Tables may be included in Rule Groups. They can also be selected as content in Multi-
Item Reports. You can read more about Decision Tables in the Getting Started document which can be
found in the Documentation Folder of RuleXpress.
- RuleXpress version 2.1 introduces the Multi-Item and Audit trail reports.
A Multi-Item Report allows the user to produce a report by selecting various content components to be
exported to HTML and XML. The content compononts can be selected by defining simple filters and more
complex queries. The produced HTML can be viewed for example in Internet Explorer and in several Microsoft
Office products like Word and Excel.
The Audit Trail Report, provides information on when Items were changed, by whom, and what was changed
exactly. Like the Multi-Item Report, this report can be viewed in a Web Browser and various Microsoft
Office Products.
